Electrosonic Inc. is looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with experience working for an Architecture or Design Firm who will be directly reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, Americas. Technical experience is nice to have but not necessary.

In this role, you will be part of an expanded Business Development team that is responsible for generating qualified leads and opportunities to build the pipeline for the future success of Electrosonic. You will nurture and grow relationships within the partner ecosystem for the design-build industry. You will pursue, seek out and nurture projects around Technology Design, Systems Integration, and Service Support business in all vertical markets we focus on for Enterprise, Culture, and Entertainment.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Manage relationships with the partner ecosystem such as Architects & Design Firms, Owner Reps and Project Management Firms, General Contractors & Fabricators as well as Content Producers to build the brand and the business.
  2. Work to grow partner relationships with an emphasis on design within the local region.
  3. Back yard selling to grow existing and create new relationships.
  4. Demonstrate deep insight into our customer's business and industry trends through consistent education and conversation.
  5. Enlist the support of sales consultants, marketing, operational resources, service resources, and other sales management resources as needed.
  6. Proactively participate in a joint company strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  7. Develop overall strategies to grow new and existing accounts while finding new areas of business and understanding customer needs.
  8. Champion and manage new design project RFPs or opportunities to create stronger partnerships and get in early.
  9. Liaise with partners to solve challenges, create synergy and reciprocity in the relationship.
  10. Target design and build opportunities in the focused vertical markets.
  11. Develop proposals for design opportunities and carry them through the close process.
  12. Establish and support customers utilizing personal selling skills and contacts as well as the company's promotional campaigns and marketing resources.
  13. Provide professional and timely responses to client requests and questions.
  14. Obtain and review bidding documents such as concept renderings, RFPs, RFIs, project narratives.
  15. Coordinate relevant project tours and technology demonstrations for partner accounts where applicable.
  16. Work with the Proposal Team to generate and build proposals for various project opportunities.
  17. Provide the required monthly sales, quotas, and forecast reports using the CRM reporting tool.
  18. Build a business plan centered around meeting individual and team goals in each calendar year.
  19. Attend sales meetings and presentations as required.
  20. Achieve or exceed planned sales objectives.
  21. Demonstrate product and system capabilities to all levels of clients, including one-on-one situations as well as representing the company at trade and industry shows and events.
  22. Travel to customers and other preapproved events as required.
  23. Follow Electrosonic health and safety policies and procedures.

What Experience, Skills, and Attributes you will need to be successful?

  1. Experience success managing large and highly complex 8 figure deals concurrently and strategically.
  2. Ability to translate strategy into tactical team objectives.
  3. Effectively create and communicate vision, goals, and a compelling value proposition around Electrosonic solutions both internally and externally.
  4. Ability to be creative, think on your feet, and be strategic in your thought process.
  5. Past or current experience working for an Architect or Design Firm, Owner Rep, Content Producer, or General Contractor is highly beneficial.
  6. The ability to create and identify project budgets, scope of works, key decision-makers, and schedules.
  7. Good organizational skills, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple projects and clients.
  8. Experience with Microsoft CRM Dynamics is beneficial but not required.
  9. Existing relationships or experience working in the design and construction industry is a must.
  10. Ability to be self-motivated when it comes to creating new relationships that align with company goals.
  11. Ability to work independently and possess strong time management skills.
  12. Having an understanding of the Architectural Design Process is a plus

What qualifications are required?

  1. 10+ years of Business Development experience.
  2. Must have a strong existing partner network in the design and build sector, specifically in your local working areas. The ideal partner network would be made up of Architects & Design Firms, Owner Reps and Project Management Firms, General Contractors & Fabricators and Content Companies.
  3. Must live in the region where the key partner targets will be.
  4. Must have proven business development and negotiating skills.
  5. Must have professional presentation skills.
  6. Must possess strong communication and written skills.
  7. Must be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft CRM, and Outlook programs.
  8. Must be willing to travel and regularly visit customers.
  9. A willingness to be a team player and the ability to work with colleagues of all levels.

Compensation: Base salary plus incentive
